The president of “Zargatsum” Social Movement, Vahan
Yeghiazaryan in the April 24 of 2015 was in Istanbul among the European
Antiracist Movement’s delegation and participated in events commemorated to the
Armenian genocide’s centennial.
The commemorations in
Istanbul are more important than the same in Yerevan, because the Genocide take
place in Istanbul and but the official recognition of the third countries in
the entire process of recognition is not so important than the recognition by
Turkey. Moreover, only the recognition of Turkey with following maximal
compensation could became the start point of the normalization of relations
between Armenia and Turkey.
In the connection with this,
The commemorating events in Istanbul have existing scale and are the most
potential. The process of recognition in Turkey is accelerating and needs the
strong support, the Support not only from the side of Europeans organization or
organization of Armenian Diaspora, but also in the support of the organization
from Armenia.
“Zargatsum” Social Movement
in the person of it’s president Vahan Yeghiazaryan became the only Armenian
organization from the Republic of Armenia, which participated in the
commemorating events on Istanbul – “The heart of Turkey”.
